Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This policy explains what information Gomi's Golden Days ("we", "us", "the site") collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to a minimum.
Who we are
Gomi's Golden Days is an independent website operated by Gomi's family. You can reach us any time through our contact page.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address (and any name) you provide. That's the only personal information you actively hand us. Our newsletter is managed by Beehiiv, and your details are stored on their platform under their privacy terms.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) may automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. This is standard server and security logging.
Cookies and similar technologies
The core site uses few or no cookies of its own. However, some cookies may be set by the third-party services below (for example, embedded videos or, in the future, advertising). Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
Third-party services
We rely on trusted third parties, each with its own privacy policy:
- Beehiiv — newsletter delivery.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security.
- Gumroad and Etsy — if you buy the journal, your payment and order are handled entirely on their platforms. We never see or store your card details.
- Amazon Associates — some outbound product links are affiliate links; Amazon may use cookies to attribute a purchase. See our disclosure.
- YouTube and Instagram — embedded or linked content may set their own cookies when you interact with it.
Advertising
This site may, now or in the future, display advertising served by third-party vendors, including Google. When advertising is enabled, these vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at www.aboutads.info.
How we use information
- To send the newsletter you asked for.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
- To understand, in aggregate, which content is helpful.
We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To make a request, contact us and we'll respond.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above.
